Day 01: Paro – Thimphu
Arrival at Paro Airport, greetings by guide, then visit Ta dzong (National Museum) Paro Rinpung dzong. After lunch drive to Thimphu, the capital. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimpu
Today you will explore Thimphu valley, sightseeing incluides visiting Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Changangkha Lhakhang, Insitute of arts & crafts, National Library, Mini zoo, Zilukha Nunnery, Institute of Traditional medicines, Textile museum, and Trashichoe dzong. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Trongsa
After breakfast you will drive to Trongsa, central Bhutan. En route you will cross Dochulapass(3116m), Wangdue and Pele la pass (3390m). Overnight stay at Trongsa.
Day 04: Trongsa – Bumthang
In the morning after breakfast visit Trongsadzong, built in 1648 and the ancestral home of the Royal families. After this visit Ta dzong (Heritage museum) and drive to Bumthang. Overnight stay at Bumthang.
Day 05: Bumthang
This beautiful valley is the home to some of the oldest temples and monasteries. It offers you hiking opportunities to the many temples in the valley. The sightseeing leads to Jakardzong built in 1549, Jambay Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built by Tibetan king SongtsenGoempo, Kurjey Lhakhang a temple dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava who have said to meditated here in 8th century. Tamshinglhakhang, built by Tertonpemalingpa in 1501 the ancestor of Royal families, Kencho Sum lhakhang and the Me Bar Tsho( the burning lake). Overnight stay at Bumthang.
Day 06: Bumthang – Gangtey Goemba / Phobjikha Valley
After breakfast you will drive to Phobjikha Valley in Wangdue. The valley is known as the winter home of endangered birds the black necked cranes which migrates from Tibetan plateau in winter to escape the harsh winter. These birds can be seen from early November till the end of March. Overlooking the valley is the Gangtey Goemba that dates back to the 17th century. Overnight stay at Phobjikha Valley.
Day 07: Gangtey Goemba / Phobjikha Valley – Punakha
Today you will explore the valley and visit Gangtey Goemba temple, then you will drive towards the Punakha Valley. Then after lunch visit Punakhadzong built in 1637, the former capital of Bhutan until 1955. It is located in between two rivers – Pho Chu and Mochu, and Chimi Lhakhang the temple of fertility dedicated to the Devine madman Lama DrukpaKuenley. Overnight stay at Punakha.
Day 08: Punakha – Paro
Drive back to Paro and visit Semtokhadzong the first dzong of Bhutan built in 1629. Then in Paro visit Drugyeldzong (ruin), and Kyichulhakhang one of 108 temples built by Songtsen Goenpo (Tibetan king). Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 09: Paro
Today you will have a day excursion to the Tiger’s nest, one of the hightlights of the tour, it is one of the most sacred places in Bhutan that is perched on the side of a cliff at the height of 900m above Paro Valley. The hike up will take about 3 – 4 hours. Later rests of the day walk around the Paro town and take rest. Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 10: Paro
After breakfast you will drive to the Airport for your flight back or onwards journey.
