Let me start with the only good thing about this hotel was its proximity to the mall road and that's it. What concerned me was the attitude of the staff including the manager sitting on the desk to make sure the customer gets warm hospitality. Rooms were so cold during evening and night which made us to ask for room convector which was never to be found and instead they offered room heater(single rod and double rod)for Rupees 300 and 400 respectively !! What amazed me was that instead of finding a convector (which will make my room cosy) they are asking me to pay for heater which I can not put on my bed or table nearby because there were no charging point near bedside so I let it go.
Same goes for bonfire which we asked at 8 pm for which after stupid excuses(like we dont have woods, we should have taken permission earlier, guests will get disturbed etc. etc...) they gave us for Rupees 500 at 9 pm ! Then comes the dinner which was overpriced and service as usual late. Last but not the least the curtains in our room were either short or not adequate enough to cover doors or windows, so here goes our little warmth which our rooms could have offered.

Nice view of Mussouri and equally nice hospitality from staff makes hotel Monarch stand out from the rest of the hotels in the vicinity. That it is located very near to the Mall road is an added advantage.
