About Jodhpur Tourism

Umaid Bhawan Palace:The beautiful palace built of creamy pink sandstone is a prime example of princely India’s opulence. The construction was started in 1929 by Maharaja Umaid Singh to create job for his people.

Mehrangarh Fort:Founded by Rao Jodha in 1459, this is one of most Majestic of Rajasthan’s fort.Rudyard Kipling described the fort as “creation of angels, fairies and giants”. The royal apartments within the fort now form part of can outstanding museum.

Moti Mahal: It was built between 1581 to 1595. Its ceiling is decorated with mirrors and gold leaf.Once the magnificent room was the Hall of Private Audience.

How to reach Jodhpur

By Train:
Train to Jodhpur is connected with some cities. You have to book ticket prior one day in advance for the journey. Railway station is on Station Road 300m south of Sojati Gate.

By Bus:
Bus facility is widely available for major cities of country. There are Government as well as Private buses available from the different part of the city. There are silver and gold line buses for Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur.

By Air:
Airport is 4 km south of town. Daily flight to Delhi, Mumbai and Udaipur is operated by different airlines.

Autorickshaw & Rickshaw: Autorickshaw and rickshaw are easily available modes to travel within city. Fares are also reasonable.

Taxi: Taxi is the comfortable mode to travel in city. It is a bit costly than rickshaw and autorickshaw but it saves your time and you can reach to any part of city within few minutes.
