Chandigarh is a modern city and the state capital of Haryana and Punjab. It is the first planned city of India post independence designed by Le Corbusier. It is known as one of India’s clean and beautiful city. There is a very famous Rose Garden along with museum and art gallery in the city. The main shopping area sector 17, is the “heart” of Le Corbusier’s Plan.
The history of Chandigarh isn’t very old. Its foundation was laid in 1952. Before the independence Lahore was capital of Punjab province, but post independence Lahore went to Pakistan.
